About Us.
Heart of Amman I aimed at supporting employment creation and skills building among youth and women. The programme targeted unskilled workers, in particular youth, and women within marginalized communities who were struggling to find employment opportunities. The programme provided sustainable pathways for income generation among the targeted groups through community led initiatives, vocational and skills building opportunities as well as through support for the creation of micro-businesses in a number of different sectors. To mitigate the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Heart of Amman programme provided liquidity and technical support to micro-businesses in downtown Amman, with a specific focus on women led businesses.
