"Qatratuna Amanatuna" (Our Drop, Our Concern) Initiative

An environmental awareness initiative that contributed to raising community awareness about reducing water consumption and conserving water resources. The idea of the initiative was introduced by a group of women from Jabal Amman neighborhood. They believed in their role in bringing about positive change in the community by contributing to the conservation of water, while at the same time helping households to cut their monthly spending on water bills. The initiative included the implementation of a campaign to raise community awareness about the importance of conserving water resources and reducing water usage. It also focused on promoting the concept of community responsibility towards the environment. This was achieved by carrying out home visits to 620 households and providing them with informative materials focusing on positive behaviors and approaches which aims to reduce water consumption. In addition, it targeted 124 underprivileged households, helping them install water-saving devices in their homes and repair any leakage problems in water connections.
