A community initiative designed and implemented by youth from the neighborhoods of central Amman to rehabilitate and green Ras Al-Ain Park, one of the oldest parks in Amman. The park serves as a communal and recreational space for approximately 50,000 citizens of different age groups. Within 14 days, the volunteers succeeded in rehabilitating the park in partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality. The initiative involved cleaning the park, conducting maintenance on walls, sidewalks and fences, greening spaces, equipping areas with furniture and public facilities to serve visitors as well as rehabilitating sports fields and playgrounds. The park was also equipped with energy-saving lighting systems and a special walkway for those wishing to exercise.
